920 is a Jesus follower, father, up and coming rapper, artist and entrepreneur who grew up in a home filled with his mother’s love and gospel music. As a child, his passion for music was undeniable! His mother, a pastor, attempted to shield him from hip-hop music because of the explicit content. After listening to it for the first time, he was hooked. Starting his career in Memphis, 920 honed and perfected his skills through battle rap, going head-to-head with classmates and developing a unique southern melodic style that sets him apart today.
920 and I shared a cup of Café Sevilla coffee while he joyfully poured out his heart and story. 920 lives with a deep commitment to being a present and loving father, while setting an example for future generations. In the hip-hop world, where being a “tough guy” is common, 920’s mission is to show others that it’s okay to embrace joy, glee and vulnerability.
Through his music and his life, 920 is a testament to commitment, hard work, pursuing your dreams while staying true to yourself, pouring into those around you, having fun and being truly happy along the way.
